Season -
New-leaf.
The weather is turning light and breezy, but the wind and rain won't pass easily, nor without a fight. Anticipation is thick in the air, making the fur of the Clan cats prickle with worry. What could be brewing in the forest?

With a flick of the ear, the Sparkclan deputy arose from his warm nest. A lazy blue eye looked around the other warriors who were still sleeping peacefully and he growled in envy. A nightmare rudely awakened him and he found it difficult to shake it off. Snowdance sighed, very well aware of his heightened emotions and of its capability to make him seem less like a tom but that didnt mean he would sit around like an anxious kit with nothing to do. Snowdance quietly exited the warriors den and shook off the moss that clinged to his soft white pelt. The crescent moon shone brightly above him. He darted his eyes around the clearing to see if anyone else was having a hard time sleeping but the camp seemed still. Snowdance padded to the dirt tunnel, ignoring the disgusting smell and instead continued on until he found a quiet spot to sit.
He listened the sounds all around him and finally heard scuffling under some dead leaves. Snowdance dropped into a hunter's crouch and the mouse peeked out, its whiskers quivering in the twilight. He dropped even lower to the ground and creeped forward stealthly until he was no more than a few pawsteps away and right when the mouse started to scurry away, suspecting trouble, Snowdance shot forward and pinned it with ease. He bent down and bit into its neck, killing it. The sparkclan deputy purred, feeling his stiff muscles finally relax. He brought the fresh kill back to camp and began to bite into his prey hungrily. The white tom still didnt let his guard down, his ears, eyes and nose alert for anything.
Tansymask blinked open her sleepy eyes, letting the deep teal orbs wander around the dark medicine den. She yawned, her moug=th splitting open. She stood and stretched. Glancing around the camp, she saw it was still nighttime, moonhigh more like it. She was about to go back to sleep when she smeeled a freh=shly killed mouse. Her black ears pricked up and she spotted Snowdance over a little ways off. What was the crazy depouty doing up at his hour.
She sighed, looking around for Lilypaw, hopign the cat would still be asleep. She purred softly as she saw her, curled up in a tight bal.. Her heart filled with pride as she saw her apprentice. Lilypaw may not know it, but Tansymask feltlike Lilypaw was her own kit almost. She wwould never be able to have kits of course, and it felt good to have someone there to care for. She padded out of her den to Snowdance, hoping Liypaw would sleep for a while longer, they were going herb huting in the morning, and she needed to be ready.
Lilypaw gave a slite yawn. She looked around she was in the Tansymask's den. What was she doing there? She didn't remember going to sleep. She once again had a yawn but this one was way bigger. "hello? is anyone here? Tansymask? You here?" She looked around but she wasn't there. She looked and saw that they were out of cobwebs. "Uhh! thats the third timne this week!! We seriously need to stock up on those babies!" To many cats were getting injured. She used them so much that she had already had to get them 2 times. "ok im going to have to get more." She then left the den and trouted into the distance.

Tansymask sighed as her apprentice raced off. She hadn't even reached Snowdance yet and she turned around, streaking after Lilypaw. "Lilypaw!" she snapped. "What are you doing? Where do you think your going? You know apprentices aren't allowed to go out alone." she hissed annoyed. She stopped in front of her apprentice and blocked her way, waiting for answer.

Lilypaw was in for a shock when her mengtor came in front of her. " Oh Tansy mask. I am sorry. I really am. I was just going to get some cob-webs, we are running out of them and we really need to stock up on them. I forgot I couldn't go out by myself. We also need to stock up on some herbs, we are running out of almost everything. I couldn't find you so I thought it would be ok to go on by myself." Lilypaw looked at the she-cat knowing she wouldn't be pleased of what she did. This wasn't the first time this had happened. She had gone out on her own when she was younger. SHe would prepare for the spazing of her mentor. She didn't like the authority to yell at her but it happened so frequintly. She needed to learn her message. Tansymask was probably just outside of the den waiting for her once again. Why she did this over and over, no one knew but she thought it needed to this. No one else was going to. She stared in to tansymask's eyes. with a weird glare in her eye. Sh wasn't mad but she was confused. for some odd reason. She zoned out. She saw her father, staring into her eyes. He had a deadly glare in his eyes. Before she fainted he whispered "murder." She then fainted. everything went white and black. the last she saw was him turning around and walking away.

Snowdance's ears flicked, well aware of Tansymask's presence but didnt say anything. She was the medicine cat and did not need looking after. Whether it be a midnight herb search of a patient, Tansymask was in charge not him but he nonetheless turned his head to look at her only to find Lilypaw streaking after into the distance. His eyes narrowed in both curiosity and uncertainty. She could understand why Tansymask would be walking around so late, but why would her apprentice be in such a hurry to wake up? Did her mentor tell her to restock? No, tansymask seemed actually shocked to see her apprentice speeding away. That all changed quickly though when Tansymask stepped in front of lilypaw, giving her a hard stare. Lilypaw looked flustered to be caught but her eyes rolled back, and his own eyes widened in alarm. He raced over to the spot where she fainted. He looked sharply back at the medicine cat, questioningly. Cats dont just pass out for no reason. "What's the matter with her?"
"When the waters of disaster meet the forest floor, five unlikely must step up, before the clans are no more."
"This is the chilling prophecy that five medicine cats receive on an oddly cold night in New-leaf when five cats give birth to new litters. Along with these words comes an image: Five shadowy figures standing on a hill in the pelting rain with several cats below them. Eventually, the words are put out of mind.
Now zoom forward a few moons. It's the middle of new-leaf, and several kits have been Apprenticed. Rainpaw of TreeClan, Streampaw of DesertClan, Riverpaw of RapidClan, Ripplepaw of SwampClan, and Wetpaw of SparkClan. These apprentices do not know each other, and carry separate personalities. Strangely, they have one thing in common. They keep seeing these images in dreams. Their territories under water, cats running from a large wave of water, etc. They tell no one, but they also keep hearing the words of the long-forgotten prophecy when they least expect it.
Another image that comes to mind is a large lake that only a few recognize. Then comes the unending rain. Will the apprentices realize their destiny? Will they come together, despite Clan boundaries, to save the Clans'? Only time will tell."
