It was a few moons after she'd announced she was having kits. Maddy looked down at her four kits...Dani, Maya, Oreo, and Chocolate. Dani was a dark tan, with one long black stripe down her back. Maya was a silver tabby, Oreo and Chocolate were dark brown tabbies. Maddy nuzzled Dani as the little kit looked at the other gardens uneasily.
"It's okay, sweetie." She murmured. "It won't be for long, I just need you to meet my friends." She balanced gracefully on the fence, and motioned her kits to follow. It was a small fence, gradually getting higher as she walked towards the sunset. Only Oreo needed to hop up. "Come on, dear. It's easy!" Oreo stared at the wall, and let out a pitiful wail.
"I don't wanna leave the garden!" She cried. Chocolate snorted.
"You're stupid!" He taunted. "Come on! Get up you lazy mouse!" At Chocolate's insult, Oreo jumped up onto the fence, eyes blazing.
"Play nice, kits." Maddy soothed. Thank goodness the twolegs were out at work and school! "I'd like for you to meet my friends. Dove! Peige! Steven! Slit!" She called.

Dove heard Maddy from her fence were she sat grooming herself, as she did every morning. "Maddy!" She called back, waving her tail in greeting. Then she noticed Maddy had her kits with her! "Oh, Maddy! Are those your kits?" Dove mewed, hopping along the fence gracefully and quickly to meet Maddy. "Their Beautiful! Which one is which?" She looked down at the kits. She knew only their names, but not which one had which name.

Steven raised one eyebrow at Dove. "You didn't have Twolegs like that? Hm, I thought a lot of cats had some like them," he meowed, then watched as Dove called over to Maddy. "Maddy had her kits?" he asked.

Maddy gently placed a paw on Dani's head. "This is Dani, and this is Maya." She flicked her tail at the silver tabby. "The two brown tabbies are Oreo and Chocolate."

"They are wonderful, Maddy. I'm so glad." She purred, then looked up at Maddy quickly. "Your twolegs are letting you keep them, I hope?" She asked worridly.

Slit leapt up next to Dove. "Wow Maddy." he purred.

Maddy sighed. "I can only keep two. My twolegs can only take care of so many cats..." She drifted off, and nuzzled her kits as they let out mews of protest.
"Get rid of Dani!" Chocolate insisted. "She's annoying." Dani turned to Chocolate and let out a hiss.
"You jerk, you should go!"
"No, you go!"
"You go!"
"YOU!"
"No, YOU!"

Dove shook her head, but couldn't help purring slightly. She wished she had been able to keep even one kit. "Will the two that go be able to stay teogether?" She asked.

"Thats too bad. At least you get to keep two. Hey, maybe one of the others will stay in a garden nearby!" Dove mewed hopefully.

Maddy sighed. "Hopefully." She murmured. She turned to Slit. "Have you guys heard of those forest cats? I met a few once, when I was hunting a squirrel."

Steven went into Maddy's yard with the others. "No, they don't." he meowed. "I met some before, too. They hunt for every piece of food that they have. They live in...some sort of group...not a herd...a Clan!"
