Steven nodded. "They don't like kittypets, apparently. They said, 'Get off DesertClan territory, kittypet!' But that was a long time ago...when I was younger. I've met some nicer cats from Clans, and they've told me what it's like. Part of me wanted to go there...but I didn't want to leave my life and friends here. And besides..." he smiled. "I just love teasing those dumb dogs so much!"

"Please, don't leave and live with those savages." Dove pleaded. Autie leapt onto the fence and rolled her eyes, startling dove. "He just said he wasn't going to, mouse brain." She scoffed. Dove glatred at Autie. She was sometimes a little nosy, but mostly friendly. Dove just didn't like her because she was a stray.

Steven looked up to see the little brown, black, and white cat. He smiled. "Hey, Autie, how's it going?" he called over to her. He always interested in how things were in the life of a stray like her. He used to be a stray, but he hardly remembered any of it, he was so young. All he remembered was hungriness and cold...freezing cold...he shivered and shook away those thoughts. Besides those horrible memories, he liked to think that being a stray would be kind of fun...but he wanted to stay a kittypet.

"Its been great." Autie mewed, stopping breifly to itch a flea behind her ear before sitting down again. "How 'bout you?" She always wonderd what life was life for A kittypet, though she had no intrest whatsoever in becoming one. Still, she thought Kittypets were nice, and had allot of kittypet friends.

"I can't imagine living with them, either." Maddy admitted. "Not having a warm home to sleep in during leaf-bare, a bunch of cats being crowded next to each other in one den...and all that death. I didn't mean those forest cats, though. There are a couple of rogues I met. They're not as harsh and hateful as the other rogues, and they really did feel sorry for me when I told them about my kits. I think I should give up two of my kits to that rogue, so they still grow up with a loving mother."

"It's been good, Slit had to be taken away, but we set up a plan and now he shares a nest with me!" Steven meowed happily. Then he looked at Maddy. "Hvaing two of your kits grow up in the forest?" he asked. "I thought you didn't like how life is in the forest?"

"Oh, thats cool." Autie mewed. She didn't reall get some things about kittypet life, but she didn't really care either. "Living in the forest, with rouges?" Dove's eyes widened. "Maddy, don't be crazy." Most of all , Autie didn't get Dove. "What crazy about it?" she asked. "They'll starve or freeze to death, if those clan cats don't eat them, thats what!" Dove snapped,

Peigeon nodded to Steven, then trailed along after them pausing to examine each little kit. She was always the last to enter a room, much less a conversation. She was so shy, and quiet, being new was hardly helping her. So she didn't make friends very easily. But she overheard their conversation, she always paid attention to every little detail and paused to think everything through before speaking, if she ever did.
Suddenly her eyes grew wide, "Maddy?" She mewed, then waited for her to answer before she went on with her idea

"My housefolks have been talking about addopting for a while now." She mewed suddenly nervous with all the cat's eyes watching her so intently. After she spoke she felt more confident and went on, "I may be able to persaude them to take in the two kits you won't be able to keep." She hopped they'd except, her owners were a little elderly, but they were wonderful to her. Even their little grandkits were nice and helpful, she had more than she'd ever gotten from her old family who were rich breeders.
