Slit let out a happy purr. He licked his wound and rubbed against the Twoleg, flicking his tail against her face.

"Aw, you are so precious," cooed the Twoleg, then she walked off. Suddenly, she stopped, and turned back to Slit. "You want to go outside and play with the other cats, don't you? You should get to know Steven." She picked him up and gently placed him outside. "And don't worry, you're safe here!"

"It worked!" Exclaimed Dove. "Well, I'm thrilled you won't be leaving!" She turned to Steven. "How clever, Steven. You practically saved Slit, in a sence, I think."

Steven shook his head. "I'm just glad that you aren't going anywhere," he meowed, sounding relieved. "Now, this causes for a celebration!" He leaped into the air, at the same moment as a bird fluttered over his head. He caught it with one paw, without looking, and brought it down. With a swift bite to the neck, it lay limp. "C'mon, there's enough for all of us!" He meowed, gesturing to Slit, Dove, and Peige.

Slit nodded his head with a happy purr. His tail twitched with excitement. Now he wouldn't have to leave with his Twolegs.

Peige padded up to stand beside Steven, she purred with happiness as her friend, Slit came up to thme. Now he wouldn't have to leave, she knew how terrible it would have been for Dove he had. Then she noticed Steven catch the bird, she admired his strength and hunting ability. She began to purr uncontrollably and waited for him to hand her a piece of the bird, just to be polite. "Um... Steven," She mewed a bit shyly, "I- I've never tasted bird before.." She could feel her fur grow hot with embarressment

"It's really good." meowed Slit. "Try it, if you don't like it, we'll get you something else." he meowed. He tried not to smile. How could she have never tasted a bird?

"Alright," Peige mewed, "And thanks Slit." She reached over to take a bite, and her smile instantly grew larger as the fresh meat touched her tongue and the sweet juices filled her mouth. "It's wonbrfull!" She mewed through the mouthful, then swallowed. Turning to Steven, she mewed quietly, "I-if you don't mind." She gulped trying to reasure herself for asking this next question, "W-will you teach me?" She was talking about teaching her how to hunt, and she flicked her tail toward the prey

Peige blushed, but she smiled and turned toward Steven. Then she mewed to Slit, eyeing Dove, "And you two should go on a walk?" She suggested, smiling. They were so perfect for each other

Steven smiled. "Yeah, Slit..." he purred teasingly. Then he turned back to Peige. "Of course I could. It'd be my pleasure, Peige," He meowed, smiling.

Peige smiled, "Thanks, now what do I do first?" She asked, just happy to be with him, this was a chance to get to know him better, and learn how to hunt. She'd always wanted to, and now that she'd tasted bird, she had to!

"Wait! What about Bird flu? You could die!" Dove mewed, looking at Peige. If Peige got sick and died, that would be terrible enough, but her kits would die too!
"Do you, want to go for a walk?"
Dove stopped and turned around to look at Slit. "Huh? Oh, ok." She looked back at Peige quickly. "Just be careful."
