Slit flicked his tail. "Steven convinced his Twolegs to let me stay!" Slit meowed. Now I don't have to leave you....here....um...you guys...."he meowed, blushing.

Steven smiled. "Let's go over near the birdhouse, so that there's a more likely chance there'll be a bird," he meowed, then padded over to the pole that had the birdhouse in the flat top. "Now, just wait..." He crouched, flicking his tail, watching the sky...

"Big words?" Dove echoed. Since when was Devestated a big word? She shrugged, and batted Slit on the ear playfully.

"Alright," Peige purred and crouched down, mimicking Steven's posture. Her gaze lifted toward the birdhouse, just as a bird hovered up to it, "There's one!" She exclaimed but in a whisper

Steven nodded. It was a cardinal, coming in to land at the birdhouse. "Wait until it's right over us," he hissed. "Get ready. When it is, jump into the air and claw it down with one paw. It'll try to get away, but you'll have to bite it on the neck. Try to break it's wings first, though...here it is..." Steven held his breath. "1, 2...Go!"

Dove giggled and leapt after him. It was kid of weird. Even the way she ran was just so amazingly perfect, that you could tell that her twolegs had even trained her to do that the way a judge licked it. It was awfully beautiful though, if you didn't look to close and notice it was just very slightly robotic like.

"O-ok," Peige mewed and leapt into the air, she raised her paw high over her head and unsheathed her claws. She had it, but it was slipping, she gripped on tighter and found herself heading back toward the ground. She twisted until she was able to land on her paws, but still had the bird caught, it was pecking at her paw wildly, but she didn't let go. When she got to the ground, she slammed the cardinal to the ground, pushing all her weight onto it, but it flapped its wings like crazy. "Steven! Help, it's gonna get away!" She shrieked, hopping he would kill it for her, just so she could close to him, yet it was about to get away

Slit was so mezmerized by Dove's grce, her didn't notice her coming at him until she barreled into him. The rolled down a small bank and landed at the bottom, near a dog house. Slit looked up. "Dove, get out of here." he said, fear-stricken. A large, german shepherd towerd over them, teeth bared. His spiked collar glinted in the light. "What are you doing on my turf!" the dog snarled.

Dove gasped, and scrambled to her feet and about two yards away. She noticed a chain on the dog that was attatched to the dog house... it was about five feet long. If slit could just get 5 feet before the dog got him... "Slit! Just leap!" She called.

Slit was hissing at the dog. He heard Dove's advice and dashed away, taunting the dog to make it run after him. The dog bayed angirly and followed him. He was about 5 feet and the dog was still following him. He heard the chain tighten and he heard a yelp. The dog lay on his back. "I'll get you you mangy cat!" he growled. Slit leapt up with Dove and licked her ears. "You ok?" he meowed.

Slit started laughing with her."It's ok." he meowed, licking her ears. He glared at the dog who was still barking , straining to break the thick chain.
